This resource can be used to introduce the topic of mortages to secondary school students. It could also be printed and used as a classroom display - which supports the use of numeracy in the classroom. It provides a basic introduction to what a mortgage is and then looks at two people buying a house (Jack and Jill) and what their repayments would be each month and how much they would end of paying in interest. Jill’s case study introduces overpaying on your mortgage and the impact that this can have. Great starter and or display resource!
